1998 marked the beginning of Jonathan Rose’s career on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. As a pioneer of computer-based trading, Jonathan was a key contributor to the young Globex market’s liquidity. After five years of trading Nasdaq Futures, he was recruited by a technology-centric Fixed Income trading firm.

Jonathan was one of four Senior Partners at a Chicago proprietary trading firm from 2003 to 2010. As the sixth employee to join the company, he rose to the position of Director of Futures Trading, where he oversaw all proprietary trading operations. Jonathan was responsible for overseeing the performance of the trading floor and built and managed a large group of traders (15) directly (60 traders). Jonathan instructed over thirty traders on all facets of Fixed Income trading.

Jonathan was an Equity Options Market Maker for the CBOE from 2010 to 2013. He created and managed his own portfolio, actively trading more than 100 stocks simultaneously.

Jonathan joined a family office (hedge fund) in the Chicago suburbs in 2014. Jonathan has collaborated with the firm’s investment team to design and implement a Closed-End Funds-focused pair trading investment strategy. In addition, he promotes and supports other business strategies, with an emphasis on business development. Jonathan received a Bachelor of Science from University of Miami in Florida in 1997. He is a Level 2 CFA Candidate in 2015.

In addition to completing the Madison Ironman in 2011, Jonathan ran four marathons over the past four years. His leisure time is spent with his beautiful wife, two sons, and his guitar.
